City officials and members of Berlin's LGBTQ community gathered in Tiergarten park to unveil a rainbow-coloured bench and plant a maple tree, creating a permanent memorial for those affected by a car ramming attack during the city's Christopher Street Day parade.

The attack struck one of Europe's largest Pride events, killing one woman and injuring 29 other people.

The bench and tree now stand together in the park as a lasting tribute. The dedication ceremony saw the group unveil the bench together before planting the tree.
