A nurse from the Children's Clinical University Hospital (BKUS) in Latvia, accused in a criminal case over the death of a child after she mixed up the medications intended for the patient, has admitted her guilt and regrets the incident. The defense lawyer Aldis Liepiņš told reporters before the court hearing, as reported by LETA.

The incident occurred when the nurse mistakenly administered the wrong medication to the child, leading to fatal consequences. Further details of the case will be clarified during the trial, but the defense representative confirmed that his client fully accepts responsibility and is deeply shaken by the tragic outcome.
