Best Buy bundles free Pixel Buds with new Android laptop preorders

Best Buy has launched a preorder promotion tied to a new wave of Android-based laptops being marketed as Googlebooks, devices positioned as rivals to Windows Copilot machines.

Under the offer, customers who add an eligible Googlebook to their cart at Best Buy will automatically receive a free pair of Pixel Buds 2A in a hazel colorway. The deal runs until October 25, 2026, and some of the preordered laptops are expected to begin shipping as early as October 5, 2026.

Brands and pricing

Several manufacturers are participating in the launch, with qualifying Googlebook models available from Acer, Lenovo, Asus, HP, and Dell. Best Buy has set up a dedicated category page for the new laptop segment, along with a comparison of specifications across the different models to help shoppers choose.

The most affordable option currently listed is the Acer Googlebook 14, priced starting at $899. It comes equipped with an Intel Core 5 Ultra processor, 16GB of LPDDR5X memory, and 512GB of storage.

Ahead of the official rollout, some technology journalists have already had hands-on time with the new machines and shared early impressions of the devices.
