Sterling admits dangerous driving after M3 motorway crash
Former England international Raheem Sterling has pleaded guilty to dangerous driving after crashing his Lamborghini on the M3 in Hampshire in May, alongside charges involving nitrous oxide possession and failing to provide a specimen.
Former England footballer Raheem Sterling has admitted dangerous driving following a crash on the M3 motorway in Hampshire earlier this year.
The 31-year-old, who lives in Berkshire, appeared before Basingstoke Magistrates' Court and pleaded guilty to driving his Lamborghini Urus dangerously across several roads — the M25, the M3, the A327 and Minley Road — before the crash occurred on the morning of 28 May.
He also admitted possessing nitrous oxide, a Class C drug, for wrongful inhalation, and failing to provide a specimen for analysis after he was arrested at the scene. Six canisters of the substance were found in his possession.
Sterling won 82 caps for the England national team over his career, the most recent coming at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
