Adam Cibuľa, a five-time European bodybuilding champion once regarded as one of Slovakia's most prominent figures in the sport, has experienced a dramatic reversal of fortune in recent years. Two years ago it became known that the former athlete had been living on the street for an extended period, having lost the stability and status he once enjoyed as a top competitor.

Following that revelation, Cibuľa was given a chance to rebuild his life. That support eventually allowed him to return to his former pursuit, and this spring he stepped back onto the competition stage for the first time in 11 years.

A short-lived return

The comeback, however, proved brief. Just 16 days after competing, Cibuľa ended up in prison. The source report does not specify the exact circumstances that led to his imprisonment, but the development marks another turn in the former champion's turbulent life story, which had already drawn public attention in Slovakia.
