Early Monday, Enes Kanter Freedom attended a WNBA game, seated right at the baseline of the court. Near the end of the third quarter, following a successful shot by Natasha Cloud, a player headed toward Freedom, shouting and pointing at him. Freedom responded by standing up and stepping toward the court, but arena security and several Sky players moved in between the two, preventing a direct confrontation. Following the incident, Freedom was ejected from the arena.

Reactions on social media

The incident sparked widespread reaction on the platform X, where several basketball players commented on Freedom's behavior. Kyle Kuzma posted an ironic remark about a grown man stepping toward a female player. Evan Turner, who previously played alongside Freedom for the Portland Trail Blazers, publicly asked his former teammate what he was doing.

Context behind Freedom's WNBA draft bid

It was previously reported that Freedom decided this summer to declare for the WNBA draft, aiming to challenge what he considers contradictions in the league's rules regarding transgender participation in women's basketball. After being ejected from the game, Freedom commented on the incident himself on X, claiming he had been thrown out of the WNBA game for supporting women.
