Ex-Liverpool star Fabinho reunited with Mohamed Salah at Trabzonspor

Former Liverpool midfielder Fabinho has joined Trabzonspor, reuniting with Mohamed Salah, having previously played for Saudi Arabia's Al-Ittihad.

Former Liverpool midfielder Fabinho is set to line up alongside Mohamed Salah once again after joining Turkish club Trabzonspor. The move brings the two former Liverpool teammates back together on the pitch after years spent on separate paths since their time in England.

Fabinho's journey after leaving Liverpool took him to Saudi Arabia, where he signed for Al-Ittihad in 2023. That transfer came after a five-year spell at Liverpool, during which the Brazilian established himself as one of the club's key midfielders. While at Al-Ittihad, Fabinho won the Saudi league title, a notable achievement during his time in Middle Eastern football.

Move to Trabzonspor

Fabinho's next chapter now takes him to Turkey, where he joins Trabzonspor. The switch reunites him with Salah, with whom he shared a dressing room for years at Liverpool. Their partnership on the pitch during that period was a familiar sight for Premier League followers, and the two will now continue their careers together in a new setting.

The move marks another step in both players' careers beyond Europe's traditional top leagues, following spells outside English football. For Fabinho, it represents a further stop after his successful stint in Saudi Arabia, while Trabzonspor gains an experienced player with a background at both Liverpool and Al-Ittihad.
