The closing round of the "Latvija 2026" mini-rally season took place on Saturday, 31 October, at the Biķernieki track in Riga. Poland's Aron Domzala won, while Mārtiņš Sesks also took part in a buggy.
The final round of the mini-rally season, "Latvija 2026", was held on Saturday, 31 October, at the Biķernieki track in Riga. Mini-rally is a shortened rally format, and this time competitors tackled six asphalt stages. The event brought the whole mini-rally season to a close.
The battle for victory
After the first stage, Estonia's Karl Martin Volver took the lead. In the remaining stages, however, Poland's Aron Domzala was the fastest. He held first place to the finish and won by a margin of 16 seconds.
Mārtiņš Sesks at the wheel of a buggy
Mārtiņš Sesks also started in the event. This time he sat behind the wheel of a buggy rather than a more conventional rally car. According to the source, Sesks used the mini-rally to have fun rather than to fight for the top places.
The photograph of Sesks' crew at the "Latvija" mini-rally was taken by Raimonds Volonts. Video material from the event is also available.
The round at Biķernieki was the last on this season's mini-rally calendar, so Domzala's victory became the closing result of the season.
