About 130 drifters set to gather at Biķernieki for the 2026 season finale
On October 3–4, Biķernieki racetrack will host the drift season finale "Drift Grand Final 2026 – Final Fight," where around 130 athletes will compete for titles across several regional championships.
Biķernieki's sports complex will host the closing drift competition of the season, "NEZ Drift Grand Final 2026 – Final Fight," on October 3 and 4. Around 130 drivers from Latvia and abroad are expected to take part, competing across three classes. The weekend will simultaneously decide the final rounds of the Baltic, Livonian and Northern Europe Zone (NEZ) drift championships, with drivers fighting for both event podiums and season-long titles.
Two tracks, one event
A distinctive feature of this year's finale is the use of two tracks at once. PRO and Pro2 class drivers will compete on Biķernieki's main circuit, while the Street class will race at the Speedway stadium. Both venues sit within the same event grounds, allowing spectators to move freely between viewing areas. Over the weekend, three track configurations will be used in total, across five tandem battle sessions.
Qualifying Saturday, showdowns Sunday
Saturday, October 3, is reserved for practice runs and individual qualifying across all classes, alongside the First Steps in Racing program. On Sunday, October 4, following tandem practice, the decisive paired duels begin, determining both the event winners and the season champions. Sunday's main program runs from 12:00 to 19:00, with gates opening at 9:00.
Tickets and extras
On both days, spectators will have access to an open paddock area, where they can watch team preparations and the behind-the-scenes work between runs. A single "Grand Final" ticket covers both days, and advance tickets are cheaper than those bought on-site. A limited number of VIP tickets will also be available, offering a separate viewing area, snacks, drinks and parking access. Admission is free for children up to and including age nine, and the event has no general age restriction. The competition is held with support from the Riga City Council.
