According to the municipality, the incident occurred around 1 a.m. on Friday. Several young people, risking their health and lives and endangering the city's heating system, performed unauthorized actions on the infrastructure. As a result, more than ten cubic meters of heat transfer fluid with a temperature exceeding 65 degrees Celsius were released from the system.

The operational services of the company "Adven Latvija" reacted immediately, arrived at the scene, and prevented further leakage. The State Police have been informed about the incident.

The municipality calls on the involved youths to come forward themselves, emphasizing that it would be a responsible step. At the same time, the municipality notes that the young people clearly have an interest in technical matters and thus invites them to a conversation to discuss the incident and learn about opportunities to acquire the profession of a heat power engineer. The municipality stresses that the industry needs new specialists willing to work with technology and infrastructure.
