On July 10, a bison injured a 65-year-old tourist at the Bridge Bay campground in Yellowstone National Park. According to witnesses, the man and his grandson were maintaining a safe distance from the animal when the bison suddenly became aggressive. The animal caught the man by the hip and tossed him into the air, causing him to perform a somersault before landing on his side. The man attempted to flee behind trees but could not escape in time. The National Park Service confirmed that the victim was taken to a hospital after the incident. A witness described the bison as agitated and angry, saying it attacked anything nearby. He noted that it was strange because there were other people closer to the bison, yet it chose to attack this man and his grandson. It was emphasized that the man did not provoke the animal in any way.
