BMW iX3 M60 xDrive: Most Powerful Electric SUV Variant Reaches 100 km/h in 3.9 Seconds
German carmaker BMW is adding the 450 kW iX3 M60 xDrive to its new-generation electric iX3 SUV range. Production is planned to begin in spring 2027 in Hungary.

German carmaker BMW is expanding its new-generation electric iX3 SUV lineup with the most powerful version to date, the iX3 M60 xDrive. It is the M Performance variant of the model, with production due to start in spring 2027. The price has not yet been announced.
Power and performance
The 4.78-metre-long all-wheel-drive car has two electric motors producing 450 kW (612 hp) and 875 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and has a top speed of 240 km/h.
For comparison, the current iX3 50 xDrive produces 345 kW, reaches 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and tops out at 210 km/h.
Battery and charging
The M60 uses a 108.7 kWh net-capacity battery, offering a range of up to 754 km on a single charge. Peak fast-charging power is 400 kW, and the battery can be charged from 10 to 80% in about 21 minutes. According to BMW, 10 minutes of charging adds energy for roughly 340 kilometres of driving.
Equipment
Standard equipment includes adaptive M suspension, an M Sport exterior, special body accents and 21-inch alloy wheels, with 22-inch wheels available as an option. The car also uses BMW's new central drive control system, "Heart of Joy", which the company says operates roughly ten times faster than systems in the previous generation.
Safety features include a motorway assistant that allows hands-free driving on highways at speeds of up to 130 km/h.
Production and orders
The iX3 M60 xDrive will be built at the plant in Debrecen, Hungary. Orders will open in late January 2027.
