The 30-year-old Bobby McMann will remain with the Seattle Kraken for the next six seasons after signing a contract worth $34.5 million. The deal means the winger opted not to test the free agent market when it opened in early July.

McMann began last season with the Toronto Maple Leafs before being traded to Seattle in exchange for two draft picks. In 78 regular-season games, he scored 29 goals and added 46 points, both career highs, surpassing his previous bests of 20 goals and 34 points.

His previous contract was a two-year, $2.7 million deal. Over his NHL career, McMann had earned $3.5 million prior to this agreement. Under the new contract, he will receive $5.75 million annually, a significant increase from his previous earnings.
