Damaged overhead line disrupts train traffic toward Jõhvi
Overnight into August 18, a catenary system under construction was damaged on the Kohtla-Nõmme–Püssi section, disrupting train traffic in eastern Estonia. Repairs are expected to last until midday on August 18.

Train traffic toward Jõhvi was disrupted on the morning of August 18 after the overhead contact line, which was still under construction, was damaged overnight on the Kohtla-Nõmme–Püssi section of the railway.
Infrastructure owner Eesti Raudtee expects the repair work to continue until midday on August 18, according to the press service of rail operator Elron.
At the time of publication, the Narva–Tallinn train was stopped on the affected Kohtla-Nõmme–Püssi section. Passengers are being transported to their destination by bus.
