The Montreal Canadiens have reached an agreement with forward Zachary Bolduc on a new four-year contract. The 23-year-old player became a restricted free agent in July, leaving the club needing to settle his future with the team.

Last season's performance

In the most recent regular season, Bolduc played 78 games for the Canadiens, recording 30 points — 12 goals and 18 assists. During the Stanley Cup playoffs, he appeared in 19 games and added seven points, made up of three goals and four assists.

Path to the NHL

Bolduc was selected 17th overall in the first round of the 2021 NHL Draft by the St. Louis Blues. Since entering the league, he has played 175 regular-season games, accumulating 75 points — 36 goals and 39 assists.

Montreal acquired the forward a year ago in a trade with the St. Louis Blues, sending forward Logan Mailloux in return.
