Boox unveils Note Air 6C E Ink tablet with nearly 40% faster page turns

Boox has introduced an updated version of its popular E Ink tablet, the Note Air 6C. The new device brings several upgrades, most of them centered on speed — an area where E Ink technology traditionally lags behind.

Faster processor and page turning

The manufacturer says the new model houses a more powerful processor capable of reaching speeds up to 2.9GHz, a 45 percent increase over the previous-generation Note Air 5C. Boox states this results in a 40 percent improvement in PDF page-turning speed. The screen refresh mode has also been updated, which the company says makes scrolling, web browsing and apps with dynamic content feel noticeably more fluid.

Android 16 and Google Play access

Unlike its predecessor, which runs Android 15, the Note Air 6C ships with the newer Android 16 and offers full access to the Google Play Store. The device's 10.3-inch display renders black-and-white content at 300PPI and color content at 150PPI. It includes a four-microphone array for voice recordings, while the power button doubles as a fingerprint sensor for secure login.

Memory and bundled accessories

The tablet comes with 6GB of RAM, matching the previous two generations. Built-in storage stands at 64GB, though a microSD slot is available for expansion. The bundle includes the Pen3 stylus, which requires neither charging nor pairing. An adjustable front light and dual speakers carry over from the Air 5C.

Pricing and availability

The Note Air 6C is available today for $580 in a bundle that includes a folio case and spare stylus tips — a $50 increase over the Air 5C, currently priced at $530. A pricier bundle adding a keyboard cover is available for $690, discounted to $657 during the launch period.
