In a German football league fixture, Borussia Dortmund secured an away win over Stuttgart, scoring the game's only goal midway through the second half.

Goalless first half despite chances

Both teams played attacking football from the start and created several dangerous moments, though the score remained level at the break. In the fifth minute, following a throw-in, Dortmund's Maximilian Beier attempted a header toward the near post, but the effort missed the target. For the hosts, midfielder Bilal Elhanoun came close after receiving a cross, firing the ball just past the near post.

A disallowed goal and the decisive moment

Early in the second half, the visitors appeared to have taken the lead in the 52nd minute when Ethan Nwaneri converted a pass inside the penalty area. However, the goal was ruled out because he had been in an offside position when the pass was played.

Dortmund did not waste their next opportunity. In the 70th minute, Stuttgart's defense failed to track the away side's attack properly, allowing Jobe Bellingham to find Beier with a pass into the box. Beier beat goalkeeper Fabian Bredlow to open the scoring.

Shortly afterward, Borussia had a chance to extend their lead following a successful counterattack, but the resulting shot was off target. The match ended 1:0 in Dortmund's favor.
