Bosnia and Herzegovina Beat Qatar 3-1, Still Hope for Round of 16
Bosnia and Herzegovina defeated Qatar 3-1 in their final group match, but their progression to the knockout stage depends on results from other groups.

In the World Cup hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, Bosnia and Herzegovina secured a convincing 3-1 victory over Qatar in Group B's final round. The win gave Bosnia four points, level with Canada, but an inferior goal difference left them in third place.
The match started with Bosnia dominating. Kerim Alajbegovic opened the scoring in the 29th minute with a skillful finish from the edge of the box. Five minutes later, Qatar defender Sultan Al-Brake inadvertently scored an own goal to make it 2-0. Just before halftime, Hasan Al-Haidos pulled one back for Qatar with a close-range strike.
In the second half, Qatar pushed for an equalizer but failed to convert chances. With less than ten minutes left, Ermin Mahmic capitalized on a scramble in the box to seal the 3-1 win.
Switzerland topped Group B with seven points, followed by Canada with four. Qatar finished bottom with one point. Bosnia now hopes to advance as one of the best third-placed teams across all groups. The group stage ends on June 27, with the final scheduled for July 19.
