Bosnian center Pajić leaves Valmiera, joins Gulbis-coached Göttingen
26-year-old Omar Pajić moves to the German second division after a season with Valmiera, where he helped win three titles.

Latvian champions "Valmiera Glass/ViA" have lost one of their key players – center Omar Pajić has signed a one-season contract with German club "Göttingen".
The 26-year-old Bosnian played two seasons in the Latvian-Estonian league. Last season he represented Estonian club "Viimsi", while this season he helped Valmiera claim three trophies: the united league title, the Latvian Cup, and the LBL championship.
Göttingen head coach Mārtiņš Gulbis praised Pajić. "I know Omar very well because he was my opponent in the Latvian-Estonian league for the last two years. He has great skills near the basket, but he can also spread the floor and be very productive on the perimeter. Omar is a winner – he proved that last season," Gulbis said in a statement.
In the past Latvian-Estonian league season, Pajić averaged 12.9 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.
Göttingen finished third in the regular season of the German second division but was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the playoffs.
