Bouchier's third September century powers Hampshire into cup final
Maia Bouchier struck an unbeaten 117 to record her third century of September, as Hampshire thrashed Surrey by 194 runs to reach the Women's One-Day Cup final for a second successive year.
Hampshire's women's team demolished Surrey by 194 runs in their Metro Bank Women's One-Day Cup semi-final, securing a place in the final for the second season running.
Batting first at the Utilita Bowl, Hampshire posted 303-5 from their 50 overs. Maia Bouchier was the standout performer, finishing unbeaten on 117 — her third hundred of September, following a 118 against The Blaze in her previous innings. The score made Bouchier the leading run-scorer in the competition, with 721 runs across 11 innings.
Bouchier built century partnerships with Freya Kemp, who scored 77, and Abi Norgrove, who added 60. Kemp's aggressive innings of 77 off just 63 balls, in a 110-run stand with Bouchier, proved decisive in shifting momentum toward the hosts.
In reply, Surrey were bowled out for just 109 in 27.3 overs. Australian bowler Amanda-Jade Wellington took 5-19, her second five-wicket haul of the tournament, taking her overall wicket tally for 2026 to 37.
Surrey had made a steady start through Rachel King's 34 runs, but their chase lost momentum as Hampshire's spin bowling took control, claiming a string of key wickets through the middle and later overs.
Hampshire will now face The Blaze in Saturday's final at the Utilita Bowl, aiming to avenge last year's defeat to Lancashire.
