Bournemouth are putting the finishing touches on a deal to bring Sevilla right-back Juanlu to the south coast. The 22-year-old is set to join for an initial fee of £9.4m, with a further £1.7m in add-ons. The defender is expected to commit to a long-term contract as manager Marco Rose's squad moves closer to completion.

Juanlu is a tall, attacking full-back who has already gained significant experience for his age. He has represented Spain at various youth levels and has been heavily capped.

This will be Bournemouth's third signing of the summer transfer window. Earlier, the club secured Antonio Silva from Benfica for £26.6m and striker Alvaro Rodriguez from Elche for £25.7m.

Rose's immediate focus now is on bringing in a number two goalkeeper who can challenge Djordje Petrovic. Bournemouth are preparing for a historic campaign, as they will compete in the Europa League for the first time.

Sevilla, meanwhile, have shown interest in Bournemouth forward Enes Unal. The English club wants to sell the Turkey international, but Unal also has options in Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

Senior sources at the Vitality Stadium say Eli Junior Kroupi, Rayan and Alex Scott are not available for transfer.
