Thousands of freshwater lagoons form among Brazil's sand dunes after rainy season

In northeastern Brazil lies Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, a vast stretch of pristine white sand dunes that creates an almost otherworldly landscape. On one side, the dunes meet thick tropical jungle; on the other, they border the Atlantic Ocean.
