Brekšu Manor in Riga Sold: Historic Property Changes Hands for €530,000
Brekšu Manor, a historic property with 3.8 hectares of land at Biķernieku Street 200, has been sold for €530,000 to new investors, while a residential complex project approved in 2007 remains unrealized.

In Riga, at Biķernieku Street 200, stands Brekšu Manor (also known as Harma Manor or Harmshof) – a historic building with a tower above the entrance and remnants of a park. The property, which has been abandoned since 2001 when the elementary school housed there was closed, has recently changed hands. According to data from the research tool "cenubanka.lv", the transaction took place in early June – the manor with 3.8 hectares was sold for €530,000, although the initial listing price was €590,000.
As early as 2007, the Riga municipality approved a plan for a large residential complex on this site, but nearly 20 years later, nothing has been built. The property had been on the market since 2025 and has now come into the hands of new potential investors.
Historically, Brekšu Manor belonged to the Freytag von Loringhofen family until the land reform of 1920. After nationalization, the building was used as a school – first the Dreiliņi Eight-Year School, then after World War II Riga Secondary School No. 83, and after Latvia regained independence, it became Riga Brekšu Primary School. Due to low student numbers, the school closed in 2001, and since then the building has been in poor technical condition.
