British alternative pop band Hurts will play the Sigulda Castle Ruins open-air stage in Latvia on 11 June 2027, opening their summer concert series in Europe. It will be the group's only show in the Baltic states and, by the outlet's count, their seventh in Latvia. The previous one took place in 2025, also in Sigulda.

A series of five shows

According to the concert agency L Tips Agency, the summer run includes only five concerts, in Latvia, Poland, Germany and Finland. After Sigulda, the band will head to the Opera Leśna amphitheatre in Sopot, Poland, then to Hamburg's Stadtpark and the Citadel Music Festival in Berlin, Germany. The series will end on 30 July in Helsinki.

About the band

Hurts were formed by Theo Hutchcraft and Adam Anderson. They gained international attention with their 2010 debut album "Happiness", which reached the top ten of album charts in many parts of Europe. Across various countries the album has received a total of 13 platinum and four gold awards.

Among their best-known songs are "Wonderful Life", "Stay" and "Better Than Love". After the debut, the band released four more studio albums: "Exile" (2013), "Surrender" (2015), "Desire" (2017) and "Faith" (2020). They have won two NME awards and an Echo award, and have been nominated for an MTV Europe Music Award.

The organisers say the Sigulda concert will be the only chance in the Baltics to see Hurts live during this summer series.
