British synth-pop legends OMD perform in Latvia for the first time

The band performed as part of their "Summer of Hits" program, featuring a selection of their most popular songs from nearly five decades of work.
An influential band with tens of millions of records sold
OMD is one of the most influential British electronic music groups, built around musicians Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys. The band began its career in the late 1970s and has since sold more than 40 million records worldwide, significantly shaping the development of the synth-pop genre.
The band's biggest hits filled the setlist
The Riga concert included several of the group's best-known tracks, among them "Enola Gay," "Electricity," "Messages," "Souvenir," "Maid of Orleans," "Locomotion," "If You Leave," "Sailing on the Seven Seas" and "Pandora's Box."
Before the headline act took the stage, the evening was opened by Latvian radio DJ Artis Volfs, who prepared a special DJ set. Volfs has been closely connected to the Latvian music scene for more than 30 years, having worked at radio stations "Radio SWH," "Radio SWH LV" and "Radio SWH Gold," and hosted the show "Ielās ar Arti Volfu."
OMD's first concert in Latvia gave audiences the chance to experience the band's key hits live, marking one of the notable chapters in British electronic pop music history.
