British television tonight offers a mix of documentary and drama across several channels. At 9pm, BBC Two begins a three-part documentary series, "Hey Beautiful: Anatomy of a Romance Scam," following three middle-aged women who describe how they were targeted by the same man online during lonely periods in their lives. The man reportedly dated all three simultaneously while repeatedly finding new ways to extract money from them.
Crime and comedy
Also at 9pm, BBC One continues its detective drama "Ludwig," with this week's episode set around a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant where a diner collapses during a work lunch. John, played by David Mitchell, believes he has spotted a crucial clue in a discarded napkin.
On Channel 4 at 9pm, "Taskmaster" continues, with contestant Chloe Petts delivering a standout show-and-tell object and tackling a task involving the obscure word "gleek." Not every task in the episode lands perfectly, but the show remains entertaining overall.
Rural life and a newsroom
Channel 5 launches the seventh series of "All Creatures Great and Small" at 9pm, with vet James facing a sick cat as a patient while a new rival veterinarian, Granville Bennett, arrives in the area.
