Buenavista Equity Partners secures €75 million from Fond-ICO Global for its third buyout fund
Madrid-based independent management firm Buenavista Equity Partners has obtained €75 million in commitments from Spain's public fund of funds Fond-ICO Global for its third buyout fund.

Buenavista Equity Partners, an independent management firm based in Madrid, announced that its Buenavista Buyout Innvierte III fund has secured new institutional commitments totaling €75 million from Fond-ICO Global. Fond-ICO Global is Spain's first public venture capital/private equity fund of funds, currently endowed with €4.5 billion. It aims to develop and consolidate the ecosystem of privately managed venture capital funds investing in Spanish companies across all development stages.
Founded in 1996, Buenavista Equity Partners operates in the lower mid-market segment and currently manages over €1.3 billion through various private equity, infrastructure, and venture capital vehicles. The firm has a network of more than 400 domestic and international investors, including pension funds, funds of funds, insurance companies, family offices, businesses, and financial institutions.
The Buenavista Buyout Innvierte III fund was established in 2025 with a target size of €250 million. It plans to invest in majority stakes in Spanish companies with strong growth and internationalization potential, focusing on sectors such as healthcare, industry, services, and food. The fund aims to build a diversified portfolio of eight to ten investments and pursue additional acquisitions, driving improvements in digitalization and generative AI.
Buenavista has already completed two transactions with this fund. The first investment is in Hundred Burgers, a Valencia-based burger chain, supporting its national and international expansion alongside its founders. The second is the acquisition of Instituto Bernabeu through portfolio company Eugin, aiming to create the second-largest fertility group in Spain.
Enrique Centelles Satrústegui, Head of Private Equity at Buenavista, expressed pride in earning Fond-ICO Global's trust, emphasizing that the public-private collaboration will continue to foster the growth and internationalization of Spanish companies.
