Construction Works Continue on 69 State Road Sections Across Latvia
Latvia's state road authority LVC reports that roadworks are ongoing at 69 sites nationwide, causing significant traffic restrictions especially on the Daugavpils highway and several regional roads.

Construction works on state roads are currently taking place at 69 different sections throughout Latvia, according to the state joint-stock company Latvijas Valsts ceļi (LVC). The company urges drivers to carefully follow temporary traffic arrangements, traffic light signals, and traffic controllers' instructions to avoid congestion.
The most significant restrictions are on the Daugavpils highway (A6). On the section from Gospori to Nīcgale, one traffic light section has been set up with speed limits of 50–70 km/h, and crossing it may take approximately 40 minutes. Similar restrictions apply on the section from Kalniški to Ļūbaste, with an estimated crossing time of 25 minutes. On the Daugavpils bypass (A14) junction and the section leading to Svente, two traffic light sections have been installed, and crossing the work zones may take about 30 minutes.
Major restrictions also persist on several regional roads. On the Cēsis–Vecpiebalga–Madona road (P30), from Vecpiebalga to Madona, there are two construction sections with up to two traffic light sections, and the total crossing time reaches about 30 minutes. On the Gulbene–Balvi–Viļaka–Russia border (Vientuļi) road (P35), from Litene to Balvi, six traffic light sections are in operation, with an expected crossing time of around 45 minutes.
On the Bauska–Aizkraukle road (P87), from Ozolaine to Bārbele, there are two traffic light sections and speed limits ranging from 30 to 60 km/h. The section near Ozolaine is closed to transit traffic, with a local detour provided, but crossing the work zone takes about 30 minutes. On the Ilmāja–Priekule–Lithuania border (Plūdoņi) road (P114), from Priekule to the Lithuanian border, four traffic light sections have been set up, requiring approximately 35 minutes to pass through.
On the Tukums–Ķesterciems–Mērsrags–Kolka road (P131), the section from Tukums to Ķesterciems has a crossing time of about 22 minutes. Meanwhile, on the Tīnūži–Koknese road (P80), from the Krape junction to Koknese, one traffic light section operates, and crossing it may take around 30 minutes. Another traffic light section is on the route from the Kranciems quarry to the Emergency Brigade park, with an estimated crossing time of 45 minutes.
