Fictitious labor leasing and tax evasion discovered in construction company
The Tax and Customs Police have uncovered a scheme where a Latvian construction company used Polish-registered firms to evade large amounts of labor taxes.

During a criminal investigation against a Latvian construction company, the Tax and Customs Police discovered that the company used entities registered in Poland to avoid paying labor taxes on a large scale. The workers were led to believe they were employed by a Polish company and that taxes were being paid on their behalf, but in reality, no labor taxes were paid in any country.
The scheme involved fictitious labor leasing through Polish companies, allowing the Latvian firm to evade tax liabilities. Employees were misled about their employment status. The investigation is ongoing to determine all the details and those involved in the tax evasion scheme.
