Parents of children attacked by two stray dogs in Carnikava on September 4 say the severity of the incident is comparable to an attempted murder. They believe the dogs could have torn the children apart had the attack not been stopped in time.

In total, 19 children were injured in the attack, and some of them remain under medical treatment in hospital. Parents say that as the children recover, they repeatedly describe how the dogs dragged them across the ground, unable to understand why it happened to them.

Severe injuries requiring anesthesia

One of the injured children frequently recounts the traumatic experience to their parents while being treated in hospital. The injuries sustained are so severe that dressing changes must be performed under anesthesia, underscoring the extent of the trauma and pain involved.

The incident has caused significant distress among the affected families, who stress that the consequences could have been far more tragic had help not arrived in time.
