Casio's new ring watch is a smart ring disguised as a digital watch

Casio has been making ring watches for some time, including an adorable G-Shock model, but its latest release adds smart features. The CRW-H001M-8 resembles a miniature digital watch with a functional clock face, stopwatch, and calendar. However, it doubles as a smart ring capable of tracking health metrics.

Equipped with a sensor, the device monitors heart rate, blood oxygen levels, body temperature, and sleep. It also counts steps and estimates calorie burn. The battery is rated to last between four and six days.

While most smart rings from competitors like Oura are chunky metal bands with little visual flair, Casio opts for a design that winks at its appearance. The new ring watch will launch first in China at approximately $294, including local taxes. There is no word on international availability yet.
