Think tank "Cehs.lv" releases humorous party classifier aimed at young voters
Think tank "Cehs.lv" has published a satirical pre-election guide comparing political parties to teacher archetypes in an effort to make party differences easier for young people to grasp.

Latvian think tank "Cehs.lv" has released a humorous pre-election piece comparing political parties to different types of teachers. The material was written by "Cehs.lv" specialist Kristaps Āls, who has spent years following political processes and studying youth habits.
In the introduction, the author criticizes how the political world tends to remember young people only shortly before elections, when parties rush to produce cringeworthy vertical videos aimed at younger voters. With this list, he aims to offer an alternative, more accessible way of explaining the differences between parties to a youth audience.
Teacher comparisons
Åls explains that the teacher analogy was chosen because, much like political parties, teachers inevitably shape a person's life — they can motivate, educate and set someone on a path toward success, or the opposite can happen entirely.
As an example, the piece compares the party alliance "Apvienotais saraksts" (United List) to a shop-class (woodworking) teacher who is used to dealing with students in practical lessons but is temporarily forced to substitute for a history teacher injured in a traffic accident near the school. The author notes that in such a situation, reading straight from a textbook turns out to be harder than expected.
The piece is labeled as the author's personal opinion, which may not reflect the publication's editorial stance, and was published in connection with the upcoming Saeima elections.
