Chelsea prepares reshuffle: interested in Stones and Lacroix, Garnacho close to exit
London club Chelsea has shown interest in free agent John Stones and Crystal Palace defender Maxence Lacroix, while forward Alejandro Garnacho is nearing a move to Aston Villa.

Chelsea continues to strengthen its squad under new manager Xavi Alonso, who wants to bring in experienced players. The club has expressed interest in former Manchester City defender John Stones (32), who became a free agent this summer. Stones, who played for England at the World Cup, has decided to leave City and join another club.
Chelsea is also eyeing Crystal Palace defender Maxence Lacroix. His transfer could cost nearly £55 million (around €64.5 million). Earlier, the club was reportedly interested in Sunderland midfielder Granit Xhaka, but the club will not allow him to move to London.
Regarding departures, forward Alejandro Garnacho (22) has attracted significant attention. Aston Villa from Birmingham is interested and has proposed a loan deal with an obligation to buy. An agreement between the clubs is already in place for approximately £42.7 million (€50 million), and the transfer depends on the player's consent. Garnacho spent only one season in London, having joined from Manchester United last summer for €46.2 million.
Today, Chelsea also announced a record signing in English football, acquiring Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa for £117 million (€137.3 million).
