The first qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League concluded with several dramatic ties. Faroese club KÍ Klaksvík, a regular participant in European competitions, advanced past Luxembourg's Atert Bissen with a 4-2 aggregate score. KÍ Klaksvík has been participating in Champions League qualifying since 2020 and has a history of upsets, including victories over Ferencváros of Budapest and Häcken of Gothenburg, as well as close contests against Norway's Molde and others.

In contrast, Moldovan champions Petrocub Hîncești suffered a crushing 6-1 defeat in Albania against Egnatia Rrogozhinë. The home side scored from 12 shots on target, with goals from two Albanian players, a Belgian-Italian, a Moldovan (own goal), a Brazilian, and an Ivorian.

Lithuania's Kauno Žalgiris edged Kosovo's Drita 4-3 on aggregate to also book their place in the next round. Several other teams have already secured progression, including Armenia's Ararat-Armenia, which defeated Latvian champions Riga, and Ireland's Shamrock Rovers, which came back against Malta's Floriana.

The results table shows that several favorites, such as Northern Ireland's Larne and Hungary's Győri ETO, were eliminated. Notably, the losers from the Gibraltar-Andorra and San Marino-Northern Ireland pairs were given a bye to the third qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League, skipping the second round.
