Chentsov May Become Ukraine's Deputy PM for European Integration
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is considering appointing current EU permanent representative Vsevolod Chentsov as Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, replacing Taras Kachka.

According to sources, the president wants to replace the person responsible for European integration. The main candidate is career diplomat Chentsov, who has specialized in European affairs for nearly 20 years. He is not a public figure but is well-known to everyone involved in European matters. President Zelenskyy has a positive attitude toward Chentsov. Chentsov's candidacy was considered last year as well, but due to Yulia Svyrydenko's demand, someone else was appointed. Kachka is considered the most professional politician on European integration in the current government team, while Chentsov is the most authoritative diplomat from the Foreign Ministry system. If the changes occur, Kachka might move to Brussels. However, Chentsov has not yet met with the prime minister, and the decision may change after political consultations in the coming days.
