Riga Central Market Meat Pavilion Banned from Operation; 'Rīgas nami' Denies Neglect
The State Construction Control Bureau (BVKB) has banned the operation of the Meat Pavilion at Riga Central Market as of June 11 due to safety violations. The manager, 'Rīgas nami,' refutes accusations of ignoring the issues.

The State Construction Control Bureau (BVKB) has issued a decision prohibiting the operation of the Meat Pavilion at Riga Central Market starting June 11 this year. The inspection conducted by the BVKB revealed that the building no longer meets the requirements for safe operation.
SIA 'Rīgas nami,' the company responsible for managing the pavilion, has responded to accusations made by Riga Mayor Viesturs Kleinbergs (P), emphasizing that the problems were not ignored. The company states that all involved parties were previously informed about the technical condition of the pavilion.
It is currently unclear when and how the situation with the Meat Pavilion will be resolved. 'Rīgas nami' calls for constructive dialogue and promises to continue updating on further steps.
