The board of the Centre Party's Pärnu district and the party's faction in the Pärnu City Council have decided to accept Isamaa's proposal to enter negotiations on forming a coalition in Pärnu consisting of Isamaa, EKRE, and the Centre Party. This was announced by Andrei Korobeinik, chair of the Centre Party faction in the city council.

According to Korobeinik, after the Centre Party's decision, representatives of the three political forces agreed that the first round of negotiations will take place on Tuesday at Villa Ammendes. The basis for the new coalition agreement will be the previous agreement that governed the five-party coalition, as it contains many important and necessary arrangements for Pärnu. Korobeinik added that cooperation with most partners in the previous coalition went very well, except for interaction with former mayor Kristel Voltenberg from the electoral union "Pärnu with Heart."

Shortly after the Centre Party's statement, the electoral unions "Pärnu with Heart" and "Pärnu Unites" announced that they had accepted the Reform Party's offer to join coalition talks. However, such a coalition would not have enough seats in the city council to form a majority, so it needs one or two more partners.

In the local elections in Pärnu, Isamaa won with 10 out of 39 seats in the city council. EKRE and the Reform Party each gained seven seats, the Centre Party received five, the electoral unions received four seats each, and the Right party got two. After the elections, a coalition was formed that included the Centre Party, EKRE, the Right party, and the two electoral unions. Last week, it became known that a split was emerging within this coalition.
