Cert.lv: No election-related cyber incidents detected on first voting day
On the first day voters could cast their ballots, no election-related anomalies or cybersecurity incidents have been detected in Latvia's cyberspace, Cert.lv reports.
Latvia's cyber incident response institution Cert.lv has stated that on the first day when voters were able to cast their ballots, no anomalies or cybersecurity incidents related to the election process have been detected in the country's cyberspace.
The information was provided to the LETA news agency by Madara Krutova, senior communications specialist at Cert.lv, who noted that observations so far point to a calm and undisrupted election process in the digital environment.
Monitoring continues
Cert.lv is the institution responsible for preventing and monitoring cybersecurity incidents in Latvia, and during elections its task is to track possible digital threats that could affect the voting process or its credibility. The fact that no such incidents were recorded on the first day of voting suggests the process is currently proceeding without disruption from a cybersecurity standpoint.
