The Cesvaine rallysprint, the fifth stage of the Latvian Rallysprint Cup, is scheduled for August 14. Currently, only nine crews have signed up, causing concern among organizers. Registration remains open until 18:00 on August 7, and organizers are hopeful that the entry list will grow significantly.
Ingus Ķimelis, a representative of the event's organizers, told Go4speed that the number of entries is lower than expected, but he believes interest will pick up. He emphasized the enormous effort put into preparing the track, with work done even on weekends. The route includes jumps, blind corners, and what organizers consider the best gravel roads in the region.
Many local fans are hoping to see driver Jānis Vorobjovs on the start line. This year's rallysprint will feature eight special stages totaling 64 kilometers, with four stages open for spectators to watch.
