The Central Election Commission (CVK) has released the questionnaires of candidates for the 15th Saeima, in which four candidates admitted to having previously cooperated with state security, intelligence, or counterintelligence bodies. This information comes from a data analysis conducted by the news agency LETA.

According to LETA's findings, these candidates declared cooperation with the security services of the USSR, the Latvian SSR, or foreign states. The exact nature and duration of the cooperation were not detailed in the questionnaires, but the fact was disclosed in the mandatory forms.

This disclosure comes ahead of the 15th Saeima elections, allowing voters to review candidates' backgrounds. The names of the candidates and their respective parties were not individually highlighted in the LETA analysis, but a total of four respondents answered affirmatively to the question about cooperation with intelligence services.
