Eastern regions to see more rain
The situation will be different in the eastern part of the country. In Vidzeme and Latgale, starting from the area near the Russian border, meteorologists forecast more extensive and intense rainfall that could last longer in these regions than elsewhere in Latvia.
The forecast suggests the band of precipitation will form and spread from the country's eastern border, meaning residents of Latgale and Vidzeme should expect wetter conditions on Thursday compared to the rest of the country.
In the remaining areas of Latvia, rain may still occur, but it is expected to be brief and unevenly distributed across different locations.
