Thursday brings sunny, mild weather across Latvia, warmest in Kurzeme
On October 1, most of Latvia will see clear skies and sunshine with no rain, with the warmest air expected along the Kurzeme coast. Riga will warm up to around +19 degrees.

On Thursday, October 1, skies will clear and the sun will shine across much of Latvia, forecasters say. The Kurzeme region is expected to enjoy the most sunshine.
No precipitation is forecast for the day, though patchy morning fog may linger in some areas. Winds will be light to moderate, blowing from the east and southeast.
Temperature varies by region
Temperatures will vary noticeably across the country, ranging from +15 degrees in some eastern districts to as high as +22 degrees along the western Kurzeme coast. In Riga, cloud cover will thin out during the day, a light southeasterly wind will blow, and the air will warm to around +19 degrees.
Forecasters note that according to data from the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre, the highest air temperature ever recorded in the country on October 1 was +23.1 degrees, set in Daugavpils in 1981.
