Thursday morning in Latvia is mostly clear and sunny, according to data from the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre (LVĢMC). There is no precipitation, though fog formed in some areas overnight and will dissipate in the morning. A light north and northwest wind prevails, with calm conditions in many places. Air quality is good.

At 5 a.m., air temperatures ranged from +11.7°C in Rucava to +19.4°C in Daugavgrīva. In Riga, the weather is sunny with a northwest wind of three meters per second, recording +17°C at the airport and +18°C in the city center.

On Wednesday, the maximum temperature in the LVĢMC observation network ranged from +20.3°C in Pāvilosta to +25.7°C in Dobele. For Thursday, July 16, forecasters predict a maximum air temperature in Latvia from +22°C in some coastal areas to +28°C in central Kurzeme. The weather will be dry and sunny, though clouds may temporarily cover the sun in Vidzeme, Latgale and Sēlija. Winds will be light from the north.

In Riga, sunny weather will continue with no precipitation. A light to moderate north and northwest wind will blow, and temperatures will rise to +25°C, while near the sea they will reach +22°C. The weather is influenced by a high-pressure system, with atmospheric pressure at 1019-1023 hPa at sea level.

Ultraviolet radiation will be high around midday, so it is not recommended to stay in direct sunlight for long periods between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
