Channel 4 documentary examines UK response to alleged Israeli war crimes in Gaza

At 11:05pm tonight, Channel 4 will broadcast the documentary "Dispatches: Britain's Gaza Secrets Exposed," which investigates the conduct of UK governments since the Hamas attacks on Israel in October 2023.

The filmmakers gained access to internal UK government (Whitehall) documents that shed light on how successive British governments have responded to allegations that Israel committed war crimes in Gaza. According to the programme, the situation in Gaza has posed a serious moral and political dilemma for UK governments, particularly since US President Donald Trump began openly backing Israel's far-right government. The documentary concludes that UK governments have handled this difficult situation rather poorly.

Alongside the documentary, tonight's television schedule includes several other programmes. BBC One airs the second-season finale of "Ludwig," starring David Mitchell and Anna Maxwell Martin, in which the central characters confront a murder that affects them personally. Channel 4 also broadcasts a new episode of "Taskmaster," featuring Richard Ayoade, Isy Suttie and Chloe Petts. Channel 5 continues "All Creatures Great and Small," while BBC Three airs a musical-themed episode of "RuPaul's Drag Race UK." Sky One continues "The Paper," the US spin-off of "The Office" that satirises the struggles of local journalism.
