Chelsea claimed victory away at Fulham in a match that saw standout performances from several players, including two debutants.

Joao Pedro opened the scoring after just 31 seconds with a deft finish past Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno. Fulham responded through academy graduate Josh King, who capitalised on defensive uncertainty to score the equaliser. King was named Fulham's best performer, having created several chances and posed a constant threat throughout the match.

Chelsea debutant Morgan Rogers received the highest rating of the match. He pressed aggressively, set up Joao Pedro's opener, and later scored Chelsea's second goal himself with a finish at the far post. Cole Palmer was also named among the standout players, praised for his creativity and several impressive dribbles before scoring Chelsea's third goal.

Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez had a difficult afternoon. An early kicking error gifted Fulham a corner, he was unable to keep out King's equaliser, and his save from a later Fulham effort was parried into a dangerous area, allowing debutant Gonzalo Garcia to score for the home side.

For Fulham, Alex Iwobi provided a strong presence in both defence and attack, while debutant Gonzalo Garcia helped ease pressure during long spells of Chelsea possession and was rewarded with a close-range headed goal.

Several other players made their debuts during the match, including Fulham's new signing Cesar Palacios, as well as Chelsea's Pep Chavarria and Jorrel Hato, the latter operating in an unfamiliar wing-back role.
