Latvian international Andrejs Cigaņiks was substituted during Luzern's second match of the Swiss championship, a game that ended in defeat for his team. The 29-year-old is in his third season with the club, having scored one goal and provided four assists in each of the previous two campaigns.

In the League of Ireland Premier Division, Bohemians of Dublin drew 1:1 with Galway. Latvian Under-21 midfielder Markuss Strods, 19, came on in the 83rd minute. Bohemians, who have collected 44 points from 26 rounds, sit in the top three and will host Midtjylland of Herning in the UEFA Conference League on Thursday.

In Norway's second tier, Sogndal conceded three goals inside the opening 37 minutes and eventually lost 2:3 to Lyn. Lūkass Vapne was replaced in the 79th minute, with his team trailing 1:3 at that stage. Sogndal have 18 points from 16 games and are 11th in the table.
