Cinevilla to transform into a digital-reality-meets-horror festival this autumn: "Danger Fest 2026"

For the third year running, the Cinevilla film park will host "Danger Fest," organized by Cinevilla Event. From October 24 to 31, every evening from 18:00 to 23:00, the site will turn into an immersive environment combining light, sound, digital projections, technology, live actors and art installations, blurring the line between reality and staged performance.

Concept

This year's theme links digital reality with horror. Organizer Anete Vanceviča explains that the festival touches on topics such as screen time, children's health, the impact of technology on daily life, drone incursions and global warming, serving as a reminder that technological progress does not always mean only growth.

Programming for different audiences

"Danger Fest 2026" is designed as a family-friendly festival offering programs of varying intensity. A children's program will run on October 23, 24, 25 and 31 from 15:00 to 18:00, while evening hours from 18:00 to 23:00 will offer a more intense and frightening experience. The program will differ each day.

A main stage will be one of the festival's central points, featuring DJ performances, dance and laser shows, along with robotic costumes and technologically created characters.

Halloween finale

The festival's climax on the evening of October 31 will feature a special Halloween-night program with a changed set design and visual identity. A drone show is planned to take place twice that evening so more visitors can see it.

A new addition this year is a street food zone offering hot and cold drinks as well as a café. Organizers note that three parking areas will be available on site, each with its own entrance, ticket booth and information center to ease visitor flow.

The festival's partners include Latvian Railway (Latvijas dzelzceļš), Pure Chocolate and Ogre Technical School, with media support from "Spoki." Cinevilla is located in Praviņi, Slampe parish, near Tukums.
