Masai Russell became the world record holder in the women's 100 meters hurdles, while Alison dos Santos delivered an equally brilliant result in the men's 400 meters hurdles, further cementing his standing among the world's elite. Both achievements were considered among the meet's main highlights.
A modest outing for Gailums
Meanwhile, Latvian javelin thrower Patriks Gailums, who won bronze at this year's European Championships, was unable to produce a competitive result in Zurich or challenge the event's favorites. His performance at the meet was described as modest.
