Two world records set in hurdles at Zurich Diamond League meeting

On Thursday at the Diamond League meeting in Zurich, Brazil's Alison dos Santos and American Masai Russell each broke world records in the 400m and 100m hurdles respectively.

Two new world records in hurdling events were set at the Diamond League athletics meeting held in Zurich on Thursday.

Dos Santos improves the 400m hurdles mark

Brazilian athlete Alison dos Santos produced a new world-best performance in the men's 400 metres hurdles at the meeting.

Russell betters her own record

American sprinter Masai Russell also improved the world record in the women's 100 metres hurdles, confirming her status among the top sprinters in the event.

Both results were achieved on the same day of competition, making the Zurich meeting a notable event in this year's Diamond League season.
