Neto joined Chelsea in 2024 for a reported fee of 60 million euros from Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Portuguese player has also appeared for Italy's Lazio and Portugal's Braga during his career.

Last season, the 26-year-old attacker was a regular presence on the pitch, featuring in 52 matches and recording ten goals and ten assists. Neto was also part of the Portugal national team at the recent World Cup, where he started all five of the team's matches. He contributed only one assist in the tournament, and Portugal were eliminated in the round of 16 after a 0-1 loss to eventual champions Spain.
